Thimbles premiere | 20 Dec 2007

VCA FTV Foundations screening for 2007; quite an audience present as well as the actors, directors and producers of the screening short films. A number of Melbourne's greatest performers present; a smaller union of Melbourne's film industry. This is where 'Thimbles' made its premiere yesterday. A magnificent applause followed from the crowd as the movie left people touched throughout. I was sitting in my chair, grinning like a small kid who's just done something mischevous. Congratulations Justin!

"Sareth is the Captain of an elite company of Ashan soldiers fighting an insurgent war against an empire threatening to usurp the Ashan culture and religion. This short documentary follows his exploits as he and his men battle to defend their way of life, and their beliefs."

When a determined young dreamer, and a powerful mystical artifact unite, the fate of an Ellunian camp lies in deeds accomplished in the spur of a moment. Jennifer Teh Yinlin's animation short is a remarkable example of quality character design and animation. I'm honored to be invited, to help to bring all 4 speaking characters to life in this excellent short animated adventure, titled 'The Tomahawk'.
